What's the minimum hire time?

The minimum hire time for Studio One is 2 hours and 4 hours for Studio Two.

How many people are allowed in the studio?

For health and safety reasons, the max capacity in Studio One is 8 people and for Studio Two it’s 15 people. Any additional people will be asked to leave the premises immediately or your booking will be terminated with immediate effect with no refunding or rescheduling.

Is there a waiting area?

Both buildings have a waiting area which we share with other businesses and so we're only permitted to have 3 people there at a time for very short intervals.

is the studio a daylight studio?

Studio Two has windows all along and so benefits from the option of natural light. Studio One has two windows in the studio that have natural light passing through, however not enough to use alone as lighting.

IS THE STUDIO A BLACKOUT STUDIO?

Both studios have blackout curtains covering the windows and at the moment approximately 80% blackout is achievable.

What if we need more time on the day?

For Studio One, overtime hours may be available if a client hasn't already booked the hire slot directly after your hire. On the day you will be informed on whether there's a hire afterwards or not. For Studio Two, if you mention this to the Studio Manager, this will be arranged and confirmed with you.

Are the backdrops free to use?

As well as our cove, one paper backdrop option comes included with every hire. For additional backdrop choices/changes there’s an additional charge of £10 per new backdrop request.

Backdrops - £10 per meter soiled (only for the section of fresh paper that is stood on).

for the section of the paper that is stood on there's a charge of £10 per metre (if fresh).

For example, if you rolled a paper out and had 3 metres of fresh paper on the ground but only stood on the first 0.3 metres (30cm) of paper, the charge would be £3 for the 0.3 metres. if you rolled out 3 metres of paper that has already been used by a previous client, there is no charge for standing on the used section.

If there’s a colour you would like us to specifically order for your hire, we can order the standard sized (2.72 x 11 metres) Colorama backdrop for you, for a cost of £100. Please note that at least 3 working days must be given (more ideally as we cannot be held responsible for if the requested backdrop hasn’t arrived by the date/time of your hire).
